GRC (Glassfibre reinforced concrete/cement). Prefabricated concrete reinforced with fiberglass for the formation of industrialized construction systems.

In PREHORQUISA we are specialists in the production of prefabricated GRC offering our customers different systems; among others, we highlight.

  • GRC Sandwich Panel:
    • GRC panels with EPS lightening core (expanded polystyrene)
    • Thickness: 10 mm GRC sheet + 80-100 mm EPS + 10 mm sheet.
    • Maximum approximate dimensions of 5,000x3,000 mm and approximate weight of 60 and 80 kg/m2
  • GRC Studframe Panel:
    • Stiffened GRC panels with metallic tubular frame
    • Thickness: 10 mm GRC sheet + 20/30 mm spacing + 80 mm frame
    • Maximum approximate dimensions of 9,000x3,000 mm and approximate weight of 45 and 65 kg/m²
  • Panel GRC Lamina:
    • GRC panel solid
    • Thicknesses: 10-20-30 mm

PANEL GRC SANDWICH

Sandwich GRC panels for the formation of the main sheet of the facade anchored to the main structure of the building, will require a complete lining and insulation.

Thickness: 10 mm GRC sheet + 80-100 mm EPS + 10 mm sheet.

Process in prefabricated GRC

Production Planning

In a generic way the phases of the production process are the following:

  • Development by our technicians of the prefabrication project based on the instructions collected from the work, making exploded drawings, details of encounters and anchors, three-dimensional models, calculation memory, ...

  • Execution (based on agreed term) of the number of molds necessary for the consequence of the objective.

  • Projected of the different layers of the panels, compaction of them and placement of embedments (the process is variable depending on the type of panel to be manufactured).

  • Removal of the prefabricated to the collection sites, where they will be given the final treatment, as well as the corresponding cosmetics.

  • Transport to work on supports that protect the prefabricated.

  • Assembly with the help of auxiliary cranes for the handling of the prefabricated.

GRC prefabricated finishes

The aesthetic characteristics of the prefabricated are determined by two factors, tone or color and texture, these are achieved by combining the following factors:

TYPE OF CEMENT: white or gray

COLORING, ADDITIVES, ...: pigments, water repellents, ...

TEXTURE: smooth, relief (chopped, chip, ...), grecado-fluted, special formwork in wood or with elastomeric matrices, photoetched, ....

FINISHES: out of mold, glazes, water repellent, ...
